The Dore 52 occurrence is located on Hemmingsen Creek, approximately 2.7 kilometres south west of the summit of Mount Bolduc.

The area is underlain by a stock of the Early to Middle Jurassic Plutonic Suite which varies in composition from diorite to quartz monzonite. The stock has intruded Upper Triassic Vancouver Group rocks consisting of Quatsino Formation limestone and Karmutsen Formation andesite, as well as Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group volcanics.

Locally, disseminated chalcopyrite is hosted by a shear zone in quartz monzonite.

In 2007 through 2009, Le Baron Prospecting completed a program of prospecting on the area as the Hemmingsen Creek project (claim 535954).
